E3 2021, the biggest gaming event of the year, kicks off on Saturday.

The event will once again be virtual due to the pandemic, but is running a full schedule, with most major publishers taking part.

Here is everything you need to know about the schedule and how to watch from the UK.

When is E3 2021?

E3 will kick off on Saturday 12 June and run for four days, finishing on Tuesday 15 June.

How to watch in the UK

Each individual developer will be streaming their showcases, so the best thing to do is head to their YouTube channels when its time for their events.

Xbox always streams its events on the console, so you will be able to watch it on your TV.

What to expect

At the Ubisoft event we should learn more about the much-delayed Far Cry 6, as well as Watch Dogs: Legion. They have promised “fan favourites, newly announced titles, and a few surprises, too” for their E3 keynote. 

Halo Infinite and Starfield should be the headliners at the Xbox event, while Warner Bros is dedicating its presentation to Back 4 Blood.

There are hopes Nintendo could reveal the new Switch Pro – though that may come before the E3 event, which is expected to focus just on software. As for games, we should get updates on the long-awaited sequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the upcoming Pokémon games, as well as Metroid Prime 4.
