Design-led hotel brand Yotel is further expanding in the UK with a new property in east London due to open in April 2022.
The 161-room Yotel London Shoreditch, which was formerly the East London Hotel, will become Yotel’s fifth city centre location in the UK and the brand’s 19th hotel across the world.
The new London hotel, located on Cambridge Heath Road close to Bethnal Green Underground station, will allow guests to check-in using self-service stations, while their mobile device can be used as the room key.
Yotel, which specialises in offering hotels with “minimalistic design”, said the latest London property would target both corporate and leisure travellers.
Yotel London Shoreditch will also feature a bar, restaurant and co-working space. It will be run under a franchise agreement by hotel management specialist Michels & Taylor.
Hubert Viriot, Yotel’s CEO, said: “Being able to secure two franchise deals in under three months is testament to the growing strength of the Yotel brand and its increased relevance in delivering low-touch, high-tech hospitality experiences.”
Viriot said the addition of the new hotel in London would take its UK room numbers up to 1,200.
Yotel is planning further expansion in 2022 with new properties due to open in Miami in the spring, following by Geneva later this year.
